His crusade against the sale of drug paraphernalia in local convenience stores led to (what was the specific policy success and result). His self-financed 24-hour Gun Buy Back initiative in St. Petersburg was successfully replicated by the Bradenton NAACP and recovered over 110 guns. His successful lawsuit against a land-owner for gross neglect in a blighted area became the touchstone for events that led to the Midtown community's first multi-million commercial investment in over 30 years.
More recently, as a Constitutional Officer for the State Tax & Budget Reform Commission, Darryl spearheaded a push for new legislation to authorize faith-based prison facilities to reduce recidivism across the state.
